TDC-5C-1989-01

Here is a typical unabraded clashed dies on a 1989 Jefferson nickel. It shows a clash of Monticello’s base at the bridge of Jefferson’s nose and at the back of the head and the roof line at both sides of Jefferson’s queue.

The reverse shows a clash of the outline of the lower bust above Monticello and Jefferson’s forehead touching the left side of the first O of MONTICELLO and the back of Jefferson’s hair touching the right side of the second O of MONTICELLO.

A die chip can be found to the right of the M of AMERICA.
