This is a unabraded, typical die clash found on a Montana Statehood quarter.

This coin was found by David Strzalkowski.

The picture below shows the clash mark left by the right side of the steer’s skull.

Parts of the hair can be seen clashed into the reverse die between the skull and the word BIG.
