Below is a typical clashed dies example for 2021. We can see parts of the shield clash remnants in the fields adjacent to the front and back of Lincoln’s portrait. Part of U from UNUM can be seen near the bow tie. The reverse shows a slight clash mark on the shield. Die markers for this example include a spike head die crack and a die crack along the top of the shield above the PLUR of PLURIBUS.
