This is a simple die clash event found on a 1960D small date Lincoln cent. The obverse of the coin (top left image) shows the clash mark left by the roof line of the Memorial building. The top right image shows the clash mark left by the line of Lincoln’s coat. Notice that this line is doubled, possibly from die chatter.
This clash event can be recognized by the die gouge to the left of the mintmark. ( top left image). The reverse has die chips on the right edge of the cornice and the O in ONE ( top right image and middle image).
