This is a simple die clash found on a 1893 Liberty head cent. there is a slight rotation (6°) between the dies when they did clash.

This coin is in the collection of Bob Russell.

The images to the left show the various clash marks that were left on both the obverse and reverse dies.

This clash event can be recognized by the die crack from the tip of the left laurel leaf to the rim.
