MDC-1c-1992-01
This 1992 cent shows a faint impression from the edge of the field portion of the die extending from the front of Lincoln’s coat to the tail of the 9. Faint letter traces interrupt what would otherwise be a smooth concave border. It is impossible to tell which letters they represent, although odds are they’re from AMERICA (unless we’re also dealing with a rotated die clash). Discovered by Richard Imburgia.
