This is the most recently discovered floating die clash. It was spotted by Bob Mohan in association with a known cud that is listed in The CUD Book Supplement (Margolis and Thurman, 2001) as LC-93-2R and on the Cuds-On-Coins.com site as CU-1c-1993-01. A large die fragment broke away from the reverse die and its working face was struck by the obverse die. A large, incuse letter “E” was transferred from that fragment to the field between and surrounding the letters “IN” (from IN GOD WE TRUST). That letter E comes from either the word ONE or the word CENT. Some erratic die damage — also from contact with the fragment — can be seen above the incuse letter.
