FDC-1c-1987-01
This 1987 cent features a large cud in the southeast quadrant. After it broke off, the die fragment flipped over and was struck by the obverse die. The incuse digits “987” can be seen behind Lincoln’s head. The front corner of Lincoln’s coat is overlapped by the word “IN”. A strong impression of the die fragment’s rim gutter demarcates the entire area affected by the floating die clash.
This cud is listed in The Cud Book as LC-ND-32 (mem) and on Cuds-On-Coins.com as CU-1c-1987-01.
Note: A pre clash/cud stage of this die is listed on Cuds-On-Coins.com. RCD-1c-1987-01
