This Type II counterclash is found on a 1985P Lincoln cent. The foreign object that was involved in making this counterclash was struck by the E of E PLURIBUS UNUM. The piece then shift down to bays two and three where it impacted the anvil die twice. This created two counterclash images.
This counterclash was discovered by Joe Koelling.
The bottom of one of the Es can be seen towards the top of bay 2 (indicated by a blue arrow). The other E (indicated by red arrows) can be seen in an inverted position near the bottom of bay 2. The yellow arrows show the edge of the foreign object that is in relationship with the top E. The green arrows show the edge of the foreign object that is in relationship to the bottom E.
