CCL(TI)-CA5C-1949-01

This Canadian 5 Cent piece, minted in 1949 underwent three separate clash events. This created a counterclash (Type I)

The counterclash can be seen as a portion of King George’s nape being transfer back to the obverse die (indicated by the white arrow).

The three clash events can be seen as three separate lines in the field in front of the beaver’s nose and down to the rock that it sits on.

Another single clash mark can be seen protruding from King George’s hair line. This is generated by the upper body of the beaver where it meets the field.
