ADC-IN2R-1996-01
Below is an extremely strong clashed die on the obverse of a 1996 India 2 Rupees coin. It is both naked eye obvious and so strong that it can be hard to discern the normal design from the clashed elements.
Normally along the periphery of the obverse would read “INDIA RUPEES” on the right side, while centrally located is the Asoka Statue. On this example we can see very strong clash marks in the form of a reversed map of India, the flag, as well as NATIONAL INTEGRATION, the date, and some other lettering near the top. This example is one of the clearest and strongest clashes I have seen in person. The reverse shows no clash marks; that either means it was changed out, or somehow unaffected by the clash event. Below are closeup illustrations.
