ADC-5c-1919-01
This is an unusual die clash event. Since the clash dies were off centered from each other, the clash marks appeared in slightly different areas. This lead to the head of the buffalo, along with the field, forming a clash mark between the first and second feathers. This created the illusion of a “fourth feather”
There is a die crack through the O in OF that joins the clash mark left by the Indian’s neck.
One more unusual aspect of this coin is that it also has a rim cud and is listed as CU-5c-1919-03. This coin is part of Fred Weinberg’s collection.
