ADC-5c-1853-02
This 1853 Seated Liberty half dime underwent a strong clash event.
Parts of the ribbon that hold the two parts of the wreath together on the obverse can be seen clashed through Liberty’s head.
The leaves in the wreath are responsible for the clash marks seen in the image.
The field and the edge of one of the leaves generated the clash mark seen in the image.
The hem line from Liberty’s gown can be seen clashed into the words STATES and OF.
The field and Liberty’s left arm generated the die clash seen in the image to the right.
