ADC-25c-1984-01
Below is a strong atypical unabraded clashed dies on a 1984-P quarter. The coin happens to be slabbed by NGC as “Clashed Dies” MS66. It shows strong clash marks of the negative space between the wing and leaves in front of Washington’s eyes and nose with fragments of the wing, branch & leaf details all throughout the fields (although weakly); the arch of the upper wing shows strongly below WE & TRUST; under the neck is the part of the beak and U from UNUM; behind Washington’s hair, near the ear and ponytail are details from the opposing wing. The reverse shows much of Washington’s face (nose, eyes, neck) from the eagles neck through the wing, below toward the arrows and then hair outline swoops above QUARTER DOLLAR; fragments of Washington’s hair peak through the right wing; while a small part of E from WE is found above the left wing.
