ADC-1c-1991-01
This is a very strong die clash that is found on a 1991(P) Lincoln cent. This coin is in the collection of Joe Koelling. The overlays seen above show the relative position of the dies when they did clash. Notice the offset of position between the two clashes.
Partial letter clashes can be seen in the field above Lincoln’s head on the above image to the left. Multiple bay clash marks are seen on the image to the right. The roof line can be seen multiply struck and offset through the date.
Partial clash marks from the date’s digits can be seen above the right side of the Memorial building roof. The strength of the clash marks on the bottom of the reverse (top of the obverse) may have been cause by a slightly tilted hammer die. The last image to the right shows the letters RTY clashed into the reverse die.
