ADC-1c-1986-03
This is an atypical die clash found on a 1986(P) Lincoln cent. While it has been abraded heavily and there are no die clash marks on the reverse die, it is unique in the fact that it shows 5 individual die clash events on the obverse die.
The area that shows the 5 separate clash events was caused by the right side of the Memorial roof. The color coded arrows indicate each event. The multiple clash marks may have been caused by die chatter, much like machine doubling and if that is the case, the five separate lines may have been caused by just two clash events.
This die clash is in the collection of Vivien Bullard.
