ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-91
This 1960D(SD) Lincoln cent shows two clash events that happened at separate times. It is probably that the obverse die was replaced, either because it was damaged beyond repair or was sent to be refurbished.

The first event seen is a line through the word STATES. The overlay provided shows the approximate placement of the dies when they did meet.
The second clash event is as a line through the NE of ONE and the C of CENT. This was generated by the top of Lincoln’s head and the field.
These clash events can be recognized by the repunched mintmark found on the obverse die.
Other distinguishing die markers are a die chip in the upper loop of the O in ONE and almost horizontal die scratches at the end of E PLURIBUS UNUM.
