ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-90
This 1960-D Lincoln cent has experienced multiple tilted die clash events.
The first event produced clash marks from the words ONE CENT just over Lincoln’s head. A clash mark produced by the field and Lincoln’s head can be seen through the E of ONE and the CE of CENT.
The second event can be seen as clash marks through the bottom of Lincoln’s jacket, the mintmark and the 6 digit. These marks were produced by the word AMERICA. A faint clash mark in the shape of the D mintmark can be seen in the bottom of the M in AMERICA.
The last clash event has left the letters of the word STATES clashed into the area below Lincoln’s bust which left a clash mark in the form of a bar through the top of the letters in STATES.
These clash events can be recognized by the die chip in the letter R of LIBERTY.
