ADC-1c-1960D-81(SD): 2 events
While two clash events are not as obvious as most are, this small date 1960D Lincoln cent does have such.
The line generated by the bottom of Lincoln’s bust can be seen passing through the word STATES. Not only does the extra thickness of line point to it being two events that occurred in this same area, but also look at the two cleft like clash marks protruding downward from the line. These marks are formed by the fold in the bottom portion of Lincoln’s coat.
These clash events may be identified by the strong obverse die scratching through the word LIBERTY. Also seen is an odd shaped die scratch just to the bottom left of the 9 digit in the date.
The reverse die has a large die chip under the left vertical bar of the T in CENT.
