ADC-1c-1960D-63(SD)
This is one of the more unusual tilted die clashes seen on the 1960D small date Lincoln cents. To date, it is the only clashed die that has part of a bay on the reverse clashed into the obverse die. That clash mark can be seen under Lincoln’s chin and is the upper part of bay 8.
Another clash event occurred that left part of the TE in STATES clashed below the bust of Lincoln. The reverse die shows the clash mark left by the edge of the bust through the TE of STATES.
The clash events on this coin can be recognized by the small die crack seen on the upper left corner of the E in LIBERTY and the die crack on the reverse that connects the C and E of CENTS.
