ADC-1c-1960D-62(SD)
The picture to the left shows the dual clash marks left by the Memorial roof that are protruding from the jacket’s edge.
The clash marks left by the jacket’s edge can be seen from the top edge of the Memorial building roof.
A partial NE of ONE and the C of CENT can be seen clashed over Lincoln’s head. The corresponding die clash on the reverse die shows the line created by the top of Lincoln’s head clashed into the NE of ONE and the C of CENT.
This overlay shows the position of the dies when they did clash. Notice that there is a slight rotation to the dies that occurred during the clash, but was not evident during the striking of the coin.
Again we see the dual clash events, with these clash marks being left by Lincoln’s shoulder.
The total clash events found on this coin can be recognized by the die breaks seen in the letters O and E of ONE.
While the clash marks on the obverse die have been abraded under Lincoln’s bust, the reverse die shows the clash lines created by that device.
Also seen is a die crack that connects the C and E of CENT.
