ADC-1c-1960D-52(SD) Four Clash Events
This is another atypical die clash that has been found on a 1960-D (SD) Lincoln cent. The overlay provide shows the relative position of the dies when they did clash. This coin shows at least four different clash events and possibly five.

The above images show the possible location of the three different clash marks. Due to the curvature of the dies. it is impossible. The line through the the mintmark, created by the AMER on the reverse is one clash event, the second clash event is the roof line from the reverse extending toward the 1 digit in the date. The third clash event is the E from the word UNITED clashed into the field to the left of the lower corner of Lincoln’s bust. The four possibility is the clash marks seen under the bust of Lincoln, but these maybe related to the same event that created the E clash mark.
The line through the top of the word STATES is related to the lettering clash marks under Lincoln’s bust and are consider to be part of the 3 / 4 clash event. The five clash event shows a clash mark generated by the top of Lincoln’s head through the NE of ONE and the CE of CENT. The opposing clash marks that should appear ion the obverse die have bee successfully abrade from the obverse die.
