ADC-1c-1960D-38(SD)
This 1960D small date Lincoln cent shows two unrelated die clashes. The obverse die clash is seen as the Memorial building roof line passing through the 1 digit of the date.
This die is identified by the RPM (Coppercoins; 1960D-1MM-151) and a die crack from the C into the E of CENT.
The reverse has a die clash that is formed by the top of Lincoln’s head and is seen passing through the NE of ONE and into the C of CENT.
These two die clashes may have occurred during different die clash events, with a different mating of obverse and reverse dies. For a more in depth explanation, refer to the featured article on the 1960D small date cent found here.
