ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-11
This is another tilted die clash that is added to the growing list of 1960D small date Lincoln cents that the anomaly is found on.The more unusual aspect of this die is that it also has an RPM, listed in Coppercoins as 1960D-1MM-118(SD). The overlay provides a relative position of the dies when they clashed.
This set of pictures seen above shows a close up of the clash marks left by the word SATES. The overlay shows the relative position of the clash.
The mint mark has a split upper and lower serif. The positioning of the mint mark can aid in the identification of this die. A small clash mark can be seen next to Lincoln’s jacket from the Memorial building roof line.
Part of the D from UNITED can be seen in the field protruding from Lincoln’s back. A clash mark is seen through the D of UNITED, corresponding to the obverse clash mark.
