ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-10
This is a tilted die clash found on a 1960D small date Lincoln cent. The point of contact between the two dies is under the bust of Lincoln on the obverse and the word STATES on the reverse.
The overlay shows the relative position of the dies when they did clash. This coin is from the collection of Bob Piazza.

This is a fairly strong die clash that shows most of the letters in the word STATES. Once again, the clash mark left by the top of the A in STATES gives a great reference point for the positioning of the dies when they clashed.
To help identify this die clash event lokk for the chipped out 6 digit in the date and the heavy, diagonal die scratches in the field to the lower left of Lincoln’s bust.
The reverse die has a chipped O in the word ONE and a die crack in the E of the same word.
