This is a strong die clash found on a 1972-D Eisenhower dollar. This coin is in the collection of Chuck Fantasia.
Part of the moon is clashed above the WE while the first U in UNUM is clashed just to the right of the E in WE. The image to the right shows the up part of the right wing of the eagle clashed in the field below Eisenhower’s lip
The cleft above Eisenhower’s chin can be seen clashed in the field between the moon and the eagle’s right wing. The image to the right shows the clash mark left by the under part of Eisenhower’s chin.
This die can be recognized by the doubled die (CONECA DDO-004). The image to the left shows both distortion and notching in the motto IGWT. The one digit in the date actual shows this to be a tripled die.
