ADC-100c-1887-01 LDS
Below is an LDS 1887 Morgan showing clashed dies. The obverse shows a nice double die clash with the wreath at the mouth, eagle’s wing at the throat, T from TRUST below the hair and further wreath details behind her cap. The reverse is weaker but has similar corresponding details. It is also listed as VAM-3A. We have an EMDS/MDS example listed with a single die clash: LINK
According to VamWorld, the earlier die states show a single clash with more details like the N from IN (obverse) and designer’s initial M (reverse).
VAM 3 shows a repunched 1 (below) and repunched 7 (above). The key die marker is a long gouge in the eagle’s wing.
