This 1886 Morgan dollar has three distinct sets of clash marks. The first picture shows the clash marks left by the eagle’s. The second picture shows the clash marks left by the wreath in front of Liberty’s lips.

 

The next three picture show the clash marks left by Liberty’s cap and hair. Notice the three close sets of marks on all three pictures.

 

This picture shows the clash marks left by Liberty’s throat.

 

This clashed die can be identified by the following die markers; a die crack from  the F of OF which goes through the eagle’s left wing tip and into the A of AMERICA. A die crack that connects the top of the letters E and D of UNITED.
