CCL(TI)-IN2R-1991-01

Below I have illustrated a quirky Indian 2 Rupees with multiple errors and (at least at this point) a unique clash counterclash combination. The sequence of events appears as follows: a different Asoka obverse die of the same design clashed with the existing rhino reverse die. There were at least clash marks from that obverse die transferred to this reverse die, and those marks are visible. A new obverse die was paired (possibly because of the clash, impossible to say for certain) with this reverse die and was rotated several degrees off from the original die. There was another clash event involving these dies. The only design transference were (the now raised) earlier clash marks which counter clashed back into a new rotated position relative to the existing obverse die. Also of note is that both dies were misaligned, which is uncommon.

The counterclash shows parts of INDIA E can be seen below and my overlay shows those marks in green. To my knowledge, I know of no other examples of a type one counterclash involving clash marks from a different die.
