1857 Flying Eagle Cent Clashed with a 1857 Seated Liberty Quarter Dollar
The first clash to be shown is found on the 1857 Flying eagle cent reverse. The top picture is of the 1857 Flying Eagle reverse die and the second picture is of the 1857 Seated Liberty quarter dollar reverse die.
The quarter die has been flipped to represent seeing through that die onto the reverse die of the Flying Eagle cent.
The PUP (pick up point) for this clash is above the word ONE. The Eagles head can be seen above the ON while the right wing dissects the E of ONE. Also seen is the left wing of the eagle in front of the word ONE.
This particular clash is considered to be rare among the known mule clashes that occurred during the year of 1857.
